Home City Grain, Inc. was purchased in 2018 from Bern Seed, Inc by the Wullschleger Family. Previous to Bern Seed, Inc. it was owned by the Schramm family for two generations and several decades as Lewis Seed & Fertilizer. The Home City elevator has a long standing history dating back to the early years of the 1900’s for providing local farmers a place to store and market their crop. The Wullschleger family is proud to have the opportunity to serve the local farmers and community of Home City in the years to come!
In 2021, Home City Grain was able to acquire the Wakefield Farmer’s Coop in Wakefield, KS. Since then, many facilities improvements have taken place to ensure that the business can continue serving the community well into the future.
Home City Grain purchased the Salem Grain Co. elevators in Falls City & Dawson, NE in 2023, and look forward to serving those communities in the years to come.
Home City Grain, Inc. provides Grain Storage, Marketing Services, On Farm Pickup, and Transportation Services. Home City Grain, Inc. is also a dealer of Hubbard, Countryside and Suther’s Feeds. We can also provide Ohlde Seed, Polansky Seed and Midland Genetics Seed products. In addition to the seed, we also carry lawn fertilizer for all your lawn and garden needs.
HOURS
Monday – Friday : 8am – 5pm
Harvest will bring extended hours, as well as weekend hours. Those hours will be posted at each location on a daily or weekly basis.
